Caretaker minister of sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdulahi has revealed plans by the sports ministry to streamline the number of sports federations to just ten. The minister opined that having the 37 federations presently in existence cut down to 10 would help the country focus on sports that can always deliver positive results.

Nigerian football fraternity has been thrown into confusion following the ruling of the Abuja Federal High Court which declared that the Nigeria Football Federation and Nigeria Premier League were not properly incorporated and therefore illegal.

The Palancas Negras of Angola are expected to arrive Nigeria on Tuesday for the much anticipated international friendly with the Super Eagles of Nigeria. NFF General Secretary, Barrister Musa Amadu said on Monday that the Angolan contingent is now expected to land at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja aboard a chartered flight, at noon on Tuesday, January 10.
